Cuidi Wei is a PhD student in Computer Science at The George Washington University, expected to graduate in 2025. Since August 2019, Cuidi has been involved in research focusing on traffic monitoring using programmable switches, profiling open source 5G RAN components with 5gperf, and developing a SmartNIC-based load balancing and auto-scaling framework for middlebox edge servers. Additionally, Cuidi has experience in software development from time spent as an Intermediate Software Development Engineer at CERNET Corporation, where significant improvements were made to a charging gateway system through optimizations such as using DPDK libraries. In the summer of 2022, Cuidi interned at Nokia Bell Labs. Cuidi holds a Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering from North China Institute of Aerospace Engineering, obtained in 2016.
