Eric N. Bernard

Eric N. Bernard serves as the Executive Director of the Montgomery County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association, advocating for policy and public safety for 19 local volunteer fire and rescue departments. As an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University, Bernard teaches various graduate courses in forensic science, and also holds a faculty position at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, focusing on field medicine and clinical pathology. Bernard's extensive background includes leadership roles such as President of the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department and a former Investigator for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Maryland. Bernard's experience also includes managing security planning for rail transport at Atlantic & Pacific Railroad and serving as a Forensic Investigator with the US Government. Bernard holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Forensic Science and a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, and has completed a Certificate in Negotiations at Harvard University.
