John Lach is currently serving as the Interim Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at The George Washington University since 2019, and has also held the position of Dean of Engineering. Previously, from 2000 to 2019, Lach was a prominent figure at the University of Virginia, where they served as the School of Engineering Director of Cross-Cutting Initiatives, along with various roles within the Electrical & Computer Engineering department, including Professor, Department Chair, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Lach earned their degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, prior to 2000.
