John McConnell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in speechwriting and public speaking. Currently serving as an Adjunct Lecturer at The George Washington University since June 2022, McConnell has also held the position of Executive Speechwriter and Public Speaker at John P. McConnell Inc. since January 2009. Additionally, McConnell was a Resident Fellow at the USC Center for the Political Future from January to April 2023 and at the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School in early 2011. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Speechwriter to the President and Vice President at The White House from January 2001 to January 2009. McConnell holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Carleton College.
