Joseph Arleth

Joseph Arleth, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Examiner Education at the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), a position held since December 2023. With extensive experience in education and program management, Joseph has been an Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University since January 2020, leading a capstone class for students in the Master in Public Administration and Master in Public Policy programs. Joseph also works as the Program Director for Supervision Learning and Development at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, overseeing the developmental lifecycle for examiners nationwide. Joseph's professional background includes leadership roles such as Chairman of the FFIEC's Task Force on Examiner Education and various positions within the US Navy, highlighting a strong foundation in training and strategic analysis. Joseph holds a PhD in Public Policy/Public Administration from The George Washington University and additional master's degrees from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and Naval Postgraduate School, along with a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Southern California.
