Joseph Pelzman

Joseph Pelzman is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in economics, international affairs, and law. Currently serving as a Professor at George Washington University since 1980, Joseph also holds the position of Director and Founder of the Center of Excellence for the Study of the Middle East and North Africa, which focuses on economic issues in the MENA region. As the Owner of Global Trade & Development Group and Chairman of Belskan Holdings Limited, Joseph specializes in international law, particularly WTO Law. Additionally, Joseph is a Board member of the Global Works Foundation and a Visiting Professor at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Joseph has held roles such as Senior Fulbright Scholar at Renmin University of China and Senior Fellow at The Brookings Institution. Joseph's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston College and a JD in International Law from The George Washington University, along with an MA in Soviet Economics from Harvard University.
