Mark Strand serves as an Adjunct Professor of Legislative Affairs at George Washington University since January 2011, teaching a graduate course on Legislative Politics that delves into the history and workings of Congress. Mark was the President of the Congressional Institute from April 2007 to June 2023, where Mark organized retreats for Congressional members and staff. Mark Strand was also a Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School's Institute of Politics in 2017, focusing on Congressional reform. Prior roles include Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Jim Talent and various leadership positions in the U.S. House of Representatives.
