Maxine Freund serves as the Associate Dean for Research and External Relations at the George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development, leading research initiatives and fostering external partnerships since January 2012. Additionally, Maxine Freund has been involved with REAL School Gardens as a Friend since 2013. Maxine Freund holds an EdD in Special Education and Teaching, Human Growth and Development from The George Washington University, a Teaching Certificate in K-12 Education from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
