Michael Lipitz

Michael Lipitz currently serves as the Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics at The George Washington University, a position held since August 2024. Previously, Michael served as the Director of Athletics at the University of Illinois Chicago from October 2019 to August 2024, where significant achievements included leading the UIC Flames to outstanding academic results and enhancing the program's competitiveness. With prior experience as the Deputy Athletics Director at NC State University and Senior Associate Athletics Director at the University of Maryland, Michael holds a Juris Doctorate from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland. Michael's early career included a role as Chief Operating Officer for the Orange Bowl Committee and a legal internship at Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen.
