Peter Polatin is a psychiatric consultant specializing in refugee mental health, currently working with the International Rescue Committee and as a clinical associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. With a background as an associate professor in global mental health at The George Washington University, Peter has also served in various roles throughout their career, including faculty member at the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma and health program manager for the Rehabilitation and Research Centre for Torture Victims. Peter holds an MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, a BA from Princeton University, and a Master of Public Health from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
