Susan Aaronson

Co-pi NSF Trustworthy AI Institute For Law And Society

Susan Aaronson is a prominent academic and researcher in the fields of digital trade, human rights, governance, and corruption, currently serving as a co-Principal Investigator at the NSF Trustworthy AI Institute for Law and Society and as a Professor and Director of the Digital Trade and Data Governance Hub at The George Washington University since August 2007. In addition to these roles, Susan holds positions as a Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation and at the George Washington University as a Research Professor and Cross-Disciplinary Fellow. Susan also contributes as a Minerva Faculty Research Fellow Chair at the National War College, focusing on the intersection of the internet, human rights, and trade. Previously, Susan was the Senior Fellow and Director of Globalization Studies at the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute for Private Enterprise. Susan earned a Ph.D. in Economic History from The Johns Hopkins University and two MIA degrees from Columbia University.
