Thomas Colby is a Professor of Law at The George Washington University Law School, a position held since 2003. Prior to this role, Thomas served as a Bigelow Fellow at The University of Chicago Law School from 2001 to 2003. Thomas gained earlier experience as an Associate at Mayer Brown from 1998 to 2001 and as a Law Clerk for Justice David H. Souter at the Supreme Court of the United States from 1997 to 1998, as well as for Judge Guido Calabresi at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit from 1996 to 1997. Thomas's professional journey began with various roles at Rohrbach Brewing Company from 1992 to 1993. Thomas earned a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School between 1993 and 1996 and holds a Bachelor's Degree from Duke University, acquired from 1988 to 1992, after completing high school at East High School in Rochester, NY, from 1984 to 1988.
