Ron Wezel

Ron Wezel has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE). Ron has served as the Vice President QHSE at GXO Logistics, Inc. since 2024, where they lead the QHSE & Security strategy for the UK&I, Continental and Central Europe regions. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2023, they worked as the Vice President, Global Head HSE at DHL Supply Chain. Ron also has extensive experience with FedEx, where they held the position of Managing Director, Health & Safety FedEx Express International from 2017 to 2021. Before joining FedEx, they worked at TNT as the Director, Global Health & Safety from 2015 to 2017. Ron's earlier experiences include roles such as Director, Global ERM, HSE & Sustainability (ESG) at CEVA Logistics from 2013 to 2015, and Manager, QHSE Europe & Africa at Yokogawa from 2008 to 2013. Ron started their career at applied materials, serving as a Senior IT support manager EMEA from 1991 to 1998. Ron has a strong background in implementing QHSE strategies across various industries and managing global operations to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.

Ron Wezel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, which they obtained between 2001 and 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Organisational IT Management at AMBI from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, Ron has obtained several certifications including HSE behavioral leadership, STAR management skills and competencies, Black Belt Certification (BB), a Certificate of Appreciation in Partners in business planning, Certificate in Strategic Knowledge Management, and a New Manager Development Course (NMDC). The years of obtaining these certifications are not specified.
