In 1875 Reed Locksmiths began as the first locksmithing business in Queensland, located in a timber built shop on the corner of Elizabeth and Edward Streets in Brisbane. In 1905 the business moved to Adelaide Street, and then again to a larger premises in 1947.

Expanding with the growth of Queensland once again in July 1986, Reeds established a sales showroom and service centre, situated amongst Brisbane’s central business district. Now situated in the suburb of Newstead, Brisbane, we look after our many valued customers who reside not only in Queensland, but all over Australia, and in the wider Pacific region.

As long-standing, founding members of the Master Locksmiths Association of Australia, we have gained an impeccable reputation for providing a reliable and professional service through our combined knowledge and experience, gained over many years.

As a family run business there is a sense of pride and achievement in what we have accomplished. With innovation, and a well regarded professional team, we all intend to continue meeting the growing and changing demands of our customers into the future.
