John Wilson

John is a growth capital investor, investing in high-growth private companies in the energy sector with a specific focus on operational and digital technology. He is a founding member of Energy Growth Momentum and holds several non-executive roles in operating companies. Before EGM, John worked at Piper Sandler (Simmons), Lime Rock Partners, and First Reserve. He holds a MA Joint Honors in Economics and International Relations and a Corporate Finance Qualification from ICAEW and CISI. He has previously served on the boards of UTEC International; Grupa Duon S.A; and, Sensient Incorporated, all of whom successfully scaled and were then acquired by large corporates.
