Deb Brown

As president of AWB’s service corporation, Forterra, Inc., Debra Brown is responsible for developing new and managing current business services to help companies gain a competitive edge, save time and money, and stay in compliance. Programs range from workers’ comp safety and Retro programs to employee benefit programs such as AWB HealthChoice. Under her leadership, AWB’s business service programs have grown by more than 300 percent.

Brown is a native of New York state and has lived in Olympia since 1982. She earned her undergraduate degree from The Evergreen State College, focusing on a Bachelor of Science, and continued her education in marketing and business at the University of Washington.

She and her husband, Craig, are both avid musicians and have their own band, Blue Ringer.
