Daniel Nalesnik is the CTO at Hack Chinese, a position they have held since June 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Administrative Officer of Asia Pacific and VP at State Street from June 2012 to June 2017. In that role, they were responsible for managing strategy, compliance, risk excellence, management reporting, client profitability, personnel, BCP, employee engagement, data privacy, AML/KYC, financial analysis, and client on-boarding for six offices across four countries in Asia Pacific. Daniel also founded State Street's Hong Kong YPN, which quickly became the fastest growing network in 2016.
Nalesnik began their career as a financial software engineer at Galatea Associates from January 2006 to July 2009. Daniel then transitioned to State Street where they quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the youngest VPs in the company. At Hack Chinese, Nalesnik is responsible for leading the engineering team and driving product development. Daniel has helped Hack Chinese become one of the most popular language learning platforms in China with over 1 million registered users.
Daniel Nalesnik has a dual degree in MBA and MSF from Boston College. Daniel is also a full stack web developer from LaunchSchool.com and has a certificate in digital marketing from General Assembly. Daniel also has a BS in computer science from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Daniel is also a CFA charterholder from the CFA Institute.
