Oleksandr Horlan

Oleksandr Horlan has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology. Oleksandr started their career in 2017 at WebbyLab, where they worked as a DevOps, Network, and Unix system administrator until 2018. Oleksandr then gained practical training experience at Samsung Electronics Ukraine and later joined Hacken in 2019 as a Penetration tester and Security Analyst. In 2020, they transitioned to HackenProof, a web3 bug bounty platform, where they began as a Security Analyst in the Triage Team and eventually became the Head of Triage Team in January 2022. Additionally, Oleksandr has also co-founded disBalancer in 2021, where they serve as the Operations Lead.

Oleksandr Horlan has a diverse and extensive education history and has pursued various certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of cybersecurity. In 2014, they obtained an Associate's degree in Software Engineering from the Kyiv Optical-mechanical college KNU T. Shevchenko. Oleksandr then went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity from the State University of Telecommunications in 2018.

In the same year, Oleksandr started their Bachelor's degree in Finance at Kyiv National Economics University, completing it in 2022. Oleksandr continued their studies in Cybersecurity at the State University of Telecommunications, obtaining a Master's degree in the field in 2023.

To supplement their formal education, Oleksandr pursued several certifications. In 2019, they completed Cisco's "Introduction to Cybersecurity course" and "Essential Cybersecurity" certification. In 2020, they acquired the "Autopsy Basics and Hands-On" certification from Basis Technology and became an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) through Offensive Security. Oleksandr further expanded their knowledge and skills by obtaining the "NNIZI_CCNA R&S: Introduction to Networks" certification from Cisco in 2019. In 2022, they completed the Product Manager Bootcamp at Asta Academy. Most recently, in 2023, Oleksandr obtained the CryptoCurrency Security Standard Auditor (CCSSA) certification from the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium (C4).
