Ilona Cohen

Ilona Cohen is currently the Chief Legal Officer & Chief Policy Officer at HackerOne. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Legal Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary at Aledade, Inc. from January 2017 to December 2022. In this role, they were responsible for building, scaling, and leading legal and compliance teams at the venture-backed health care technology company. Ilona also provided solutions-oriented management of the company's legal portfolio, including $300M in private equity investments, debt agreements, M&A, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures.

From January 2015 to December 2017, Cohen served as the General Counsel at the Office of Management and Budget. In this role, they reported to the Director of OMB and managed teams responsible for providing counsel to the President, the OMB Director, and White House senior advisors on a range of legal, regulatory, legislative, and fiscal issues. Ilona also oversaw all of OMB's litigation and compliance. Additionally, Cohen served as chief counsel to the U.S. Digital Service and Office of the Federal Chief Information Officer and provided legal and strategic advice on modernizing and improving citizen-facing digital services and developing key Administration technology, cybersecurity, and privacy policies. Ilona also reviewed and provided counsel on significant rules promulgated by executive branch agencies and coordinated all executive orders and presidential memoranda for the Administration.

Ilona Cohen graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Ilona'story. Ilona then attended the University of Michigan Law School, where they earned their Doctor of Law degree.
