Simba Chawanda

Simba Chawanda is a skilled professional in the field of cybersecurity and engineering. Currently serving as a Bug Bounty Hunter at HackerOne since March 2023, Simba focuses on securing companies by identifying and reporting web application vulnerabilities and performing source code reviews. As a Cyber Security Consultant at MWR CyberSec since December 2022, Simba taught foundational skills for hacking web applications, conducted hands-on hacking exercises, and documented findings for presentation. Additionally, as an active CTF Player at Hack The Box since May 2022, Simba is dedicated to building cybersecurity skills. Previous experience includes working as an Electrical Engineer at Buffalo Coal and as a Content Creator at Respublica (Pty) Ltd. Simba is pursuing a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Johannesburg, following a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
