Lydia Schmidt

Lydia Schmidt is an experienced Youth Services Librarian with a strong background in library science, currently serving at Hackley Public Library since March 2017 and previously at La Porte County Public Library from April 2013 to March 2017. Lydia holds a Masters of Library and Information Science with a focus on Youth Services from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, attained in 2012, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, English, and Writing from Calvin University, completed in 2009. Prior to entering the field of library science, Lydia gained customer service experience as a Barista at Espresso Royale and as a Cashier at Knupper Landscape and Nursery.
