HackMotion

Atis Hermanis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Atis is currently the CEO at HackMotion since August 2019, where they focus on developing wearable coaching products for hobby athletes, particularly in golf and baseball. Atis also served as the CTO at HackMotion from October 2016 to August 2019, where they played a crucial role in developing the first version of the HackMotion products, including data processing algorithms, embedded software, electronics, and PCB design. Atis also contributed to the development of software apps and early user experience design.

Prior to their role at HackMotion, Atis was a researcher at the Institute of Electronics & Computer Science from July 2013 to September 2016, specializing in electronic system design and development of wearable systems for human pose and movement monitoring. During their time there, they published scientific articles and presented at international conferences. Atis also worked as a research assistant at the same institute from November 2010 to July 2013.

Additionally, Atis has experience as a teacher at Riga Business College from September 2012 to January 2013, where they imparted their knowledge to students. Atis previously served as the Technical Manager at Mobilarm SIA from 2008 to 2010.

Subsequently, they returned to Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte and completed a Master of Science in Engineering in the field of Electrical Engineering from 2011 to 2012. Finally, Atis Hermanis pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte from 2012 to 2016.
