Asher Shafrir

Asher Shafrir is currently an Advanced IBD Fellow at the University of Chicago and a lecturer in R programming at the International School of Public Health at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. They have served as a Battalion Doctor in the Israel Defence Forces since 2014 and have held various roles at Hadassah Medical Center, including Gastroenterology Fellow and Senior Physician. Asher's medical career also includes experience as a resident physician and chief resident at Hadassah Medical Centers between 2014 and 2018. They earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from The Hebrew University, where they continue their education.
