Declan Siewert

Declan Siewert has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. In 2023, they worked as a Quality Engineer at Hadrian. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2023, they were a Build Reliability Engineer II at SpaceX. In 2020, they also worked briefly as a Delivery Driver at FedEx.

In 2019, Declan joined Global Formula Racing where they contributed to a team in designing, building, and testing cars for Formula Student competitions. Declan specifically focused on chassis composite design and testing.

From 2016 to 2020, Declan served as an Engineering Tutor at the TRiO Student Support Program. In 2018, they worked as a Research Assistant at INM-Leibniz Institute for New Materials, where they improved battery lifespan and power dissipation through carbon nanostructure manipulation.

Additionally, Declan gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at TEKFAB in 2017, where they designed and drafted components for rollforming lines. Declan also has research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University, where they worked from 2016 to 2018, and served as a Computer Assisted Design TA in 2017.

In their earlier years, Declan worked as an Oven Operator at Cibelli's Pizza from 2015 to 2017, and as a Gardener at the Baha'i World Centre in 2013 and 2014.

Declan Siewert completed their education in a chronological manner. Declan started their education at Central Oregon Community College from 2014 to 2016, where they pursued Pre-Mechanical Engineering. Then, they attended Oregon State University from 2016 to 2020 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

During their time at Oregon State University, Declan also studied at Universität des Saarlandes from 2018 to 2019, where they earned a second Bachelor's degree in Materials Science.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Declan also obtained additional certifications. In August 2018, they obtained a B1 German Language Certification from Europa Kolleg Kassel. Furthermore, in January 2017, they earned a CRLA Level 1 certification from Central Oregon Community College.
