Som Mohapatra

Som Mohapatra has a diverse work experience with various roles and responsibilities. In 2021, they co-founded Hadrius (YC W23) and also co-founded Quantbase (YC W23) where they served as the Chief Compliance Officer. Som was a Fellow at Contrary from July 2021 to May 2023.

Earlier, Som worked at the McIntire Investment Institute as a Portfolio Manager from January 2021 to June 2022. Before that, they held positions as an Associate and Analyst at the same institute. Som was also an Associate at Global Markets Group from February 2020 to April 2021.

Som founded Unibursal in June 2020 and served as its Founder until February 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Genworth as part of the Corporate Systems team from August 2018 to June 2019.

Som also served as the Secretary-General of Governor's School Model United Nations, leading a team to organize a successful high school Model UN conference with notable partnerships and fundraising efforts.

Som Mohapatra attended the University of Virginia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Computer Science. Prior to that, their education history includes attending the Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies. In 2022-2023, Som participated in the Y Combinator program, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
