Rich Hagberg, Ph.D. founded Hagberg Consulting Group to help founders, CEOs, senior executives, and executive teams see the hidden behavioral patterns that shape performance, trust, execution, and growth.

Over 48 years as a consulting psychologist, Rich has coached more than 5,000 executives and built full personality + 360 datasets on over 2,000 leaders — including deep research on 122 founders, published in his book Founders Keepers: Why Founders Are Built to Fail, and What It Takes to Succeed.

The work is grounded in a proprietary toolkit: the Personal Leadership Profile (50+ traits), a 46-competency 360 model, Predicted 360, and Influence Report — combined with practical coaching to turn insight into measurable leadership change. Vision that becomes distraction, speed that becomes chaos, control that becomes a bottleneck — the pattern is consistent, and once named, it can change.

HCG now also offers a free, self-serve AI Coach — grounded in the same assessment data and founder research — for leaders who want to start before or between formal engagements. The first ten messages are free, no card required.
