Haley Broder

Haley Broder, MSW, MPP, currently serves as the Commission Chairperson for the Sybil Brand Commission for Institutional Inspections in Los Angeles County, where responsibilities include conducting inspections of county jails, engaging enforcement entities regarding humane conditions, and providing recommendations on jail closures and the Care First, Jail Last plan. With extensive experience in emergency preparedness and migrant response at Hagerty Consulting, Broder has also contributed to mental health initiatives as a Clinical Social Work Fellow at Freedom for Immigrants, supported foster youth at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, and provided trauma-informed policy consulting at iACT. Previous roles include overseeing mission strategy and recovery programs in Puerto Rico and Dominica following Hurricane Maria, as well as coordinating services for female refugees in Greece. Broder holds a Master of Social Welfare and a Master of Public Policy from the UCLA Luskin School and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
