The Haitian Student Union (HSU) at Florida International University (FIU), formerly known as the Haitian Student Organization, was established in 1988. As a Registered Student Organization, HSU is open to everyone and aims to unify all students of the Haitian diaspora at FIU. Through political, social, educational, and community service events, HSU seeks to educate its members and the FIU community about the rich history, traditions, culture, and ongoing progress of Haiti. Our mission is to honor the legacy of our Haitian forefathers and bridge the gap between past, present, and future generations of Haitians.
