Sagar Honnungar has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2014, they started as an Intern at ABB, followed by a Research Intern position at USC Viterbi School of Engineering in 2015. In 2017, they joined Stanford University as a Graduate Research Assistant and also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Amazon during this time. In 2018, Sagar became a Software Engineer at Rubrik, Inc. and concurrently served as a Teaching Assistant for Machine Learning and Deep Learning courses at Stanford University. In 2020, they co-founded Hakimo, a company that focuses on an undisclosed sector. Later, in 2022, Sagar became an Official Member of the Forbes Technology Council.

Sagar Honnungar pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, starting in 2016 and completing it in 2018. Prior to this, from 2012 to 2016, they studied at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering. Before entering college, Sagar attended the National Public School in Rajajinagar from 2010 to 2012; however, no specific degree or field of study is provided for this particular period.
