Julia Rushchenko

Julia Rushchenko, PhD, serves as a Research Advisor at King's College London since March 2024. Currently, Julia is also a Gender Expert for Hala Systems, Inc. in the Syria Programme, a role undertaken since June 2023. Julia has held various consultancy positions focusing on gender issues with organizations such as the United Nations Population Fund, the International Commission on Missing Persons, IOM - UN Migration, the OSCE, UN Women, and UNDP, among others, between 2020 and 2024. Julia's educational background includes a Doctorate in Criminology from the University of Kent, along with studies at UC San Diego as a visiting scholar, and a Master of Arts in European Studies from the University of Deusto, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
