Jorge Jara

Jorge Jara has extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Jorge currently serves as the Software Engineering Manager at HaleyTek AB, where they lead a team of software developers in the creation of an advanced infotainment system platform. In this role, they collaborate closely with industry giants such as Google, Volvo Cars, and EcarX. Jorge's responsibilities include overseeing areas such as System Safety, Audio, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet.

Prior to their current position, Jorge worked at Volvo Cars, starting in 2017. Jorge held multiple roles during their tenure, including Team Manager and Scrum Master for Infotainment Systems, as well as Scrum Master and Lead Engineer for Mechatronic Suspension.

Before joining Volvo Cars, Jorge worked at CEVT (China Euro Vehicle Technology AB) as a Lead Design Engineer for Interior Trim from 2016 to 2017. Jorge was responsible for leading the design team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality interior trim components.

Jorge's career in the automotive industry began at Ford Motor Company in 2010, where they served as a Design Engineer and later as a Primary Designer Engineer for Interior Trim. During their time at Ford, they led a virtual design engineering team and played a key role in ensuring the compliance of door trim components with engineering, ergonomics, safety, craftsmanship, and styling standards. Jorge also holds two patent disclosures as an inventor filed by Ford Motor Company.

Prior to joining Ford, Jorge worked at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as a Product Engineer, focusing on solving production issues for exterior systems, specifically closures such as doors, hoods, and tailgates.

Jorge Jara received their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Jorge attended the university from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their degree, Jorge also obtained the certification of Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in October 2018.
