Michael O'Connell, P.E. has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Michael began their career as a Logistics Officer in the United States Marine Corps, where they managed equipment maintenance and coordinated logistical requirements. After leaving the military, they worked as a Management Associate at Cargill before transitioning into the field of civil engineering. Michael held roles as a Graduate Environmental Engineering Student at Texas Tech University and an Engineering Consultant at iVision Marketing. Michael then gained practical experience as a Project Engineer at Oller Engineering Inc and Graham Associates, Inc. At Shield Engineering Group, they worked as a Project Engineer and later became an EIT. Currently, they are employed as a Civil Engineer at Halff. Throughout their career, Michael O'Connell, P.E. has demonstrated their expertise and commitment to the field of engineering.

Michael O'Connell, P.E. pursued their education in a sequential manner, with their most recent academic endeavor being a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Environmental Engineering from Texas Tech University, which they completed from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Wayland Baptist University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General.

In addition to their educational achievements, Michael has also obtained two certifications as a Professional Engineer from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in July 2022.
