Laurent Testard has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Laurent started their career with CORYS TESS in 1998 as a software engineer, where they contributed to various projects involving simulator development for power units. In 2000, they joined RSI as a software engineer, specializing in oil and gas process simulation. During their time at RSI, they participated in multiple research and development projects. In 2005, Testard joined Mentor Graphics as a software engineer before becoming the CEO of HALIAS Technologies in 2006. At HALIAS, they provided software services for the industrial sector, focusing on mathematical software for process and equipment monitoring and optimization. Testard also held a part-time associate professor position at Université Grenoble Alpes from 2007 to 2016, where they taught computer science and managed industrial relations for student training periods.

Laurent Testard pursued their education in a systematic and well-rounded manner. Laurent began their academic journey in 1990 at the National School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of Grenoble, where they obtained an engineering degree in software engineering in 1993. Laurent then furthered their knowledge by pursuing a master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the Université Grenoble Alpes, which they completed in 1993. Wanting to delve deeper into the realm of mathematics and computer science, they pursued a PHD from Grenoble INP - UGA, which they successfully completed in 1997, focusing on applied mathematics and computer science. Fast forward to 2019, Laurent Testard decided to expand their expertise and broaden their horizons by enrolling in Grenoble IAE, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in the field of Business Administration and Management, which they completed in 2020. Through the years, Laurent Testard developed a diverse educational background and demonstrated their dedication to continuous learning and skill enhancement.
