Matt Schappa

Matt Schappa is a litigator at Hall Render’s Indianapolis office, where they focus on defending clients in complex lawsuits and representing them in actions under the False Claims Act. They have worked closely with state and federal authorities to address issues of fraud and abuse and provide counsel to hospitals and health systems throughout negotiations and litigation. Matt has served on the Indiana Lawyers Access to Justice and Pro Bono Project steering committee, demonstrating a commitment to pro bono work and improving access to legal services. They hold a B.A. in English from Ohio University and a J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law. In their personal life, Matt enjoys music, guitar, and running, residing south of Indianapolis with their family.
