Hållbar Teknik was founded in 2015 with a clear purpose.
We saw that many new products and methods had the potential to improve sustainability, both for people and the environment. But we also noticed that many of these innovations struggled to reach the market. So we decided to do something about it.

Hållbar Teknik was created as a platform to challenge and improve traditional processes, and to help introduce more sustainable products to the market. The world can’t wait for us to solve the sustainability challenges. Hållbar Teknik is our way of acting now – for a more sustainable society.

In 2015, we discovered a completely unique, patented floor coating developed by a manufacturer in Austria. The coating contained ceramic particles and could be used to renovate wood, plastic, and linoleum floors. It extended the lifespan of existing floors by at least 10 years, helped reduce costs, and made indoor environments healthier for the people who spent time there. It almost sounded too good to be true.

We made the decision to bring the product and method to Sweden – and that’s where our journey began.

Today, we’ve renovated thousands of square meters of flooring and helped reduce CO₂ emissions by 650 tons, saved time and money for our clients, and contributed to healthier workplaces with fewer sick days.

Our search for even more sustainable technology continues, driven by curiosity and a strong belief in innovation. We now offer several effective solutions for improving indoor environments – from surface treatments that break down bacteria, viruses and spores, to a silicon-based method for cleaning textile floors, a cleaning agent made of 99% water, and a coating that breaks down emissions in the air.

Every product we work with has also connected us to a network of experts – the inventors and developers behind the technologies. Together, we are many who share the same goal: to contribute to a more sustainable future.
