Halliwells LLP is now in administration. The majority of Halliwells'​ staff transferred to Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, HBJ Gateley Wareing and Hill Dickinson.

Halliwells was established over 30 years ago and was a UK Top 50 law firm. The firm provided a comprehensive range of legal services to industrial, commercial and public sector clients at a local, national and international level. The firm’s offices were based in the key commercial centres of London, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield and at the time of going into administration comprised in total 900 members of staff; including 138 partners, 430 other lawyers and 332 support staff.
