Hamari Asha enables and empowers women across all communities to come together and work in projects that allow them to become economically independent. This instills in them a greater sense of self worth and confidence allowing them to grow and progress. At Hamari Asha, women are also taught how to make various products like Table Linen, Bags & Pouches, jute bags, candles, diyas and various other handicrafts that can be sold throughout the year giving them a steady income and a sense of purpose.

From the time of its inception in 2009, the programme has covered a number of villages around the town of Dharuhera in Haryana and has been successful in providing women an average steady income which grows substantially during the festival seasons when the demand of the products created by them surges.
