Since 2003, the Hamburg Media School has been providing students with the highest level of education in the fields of media management, journalism, and film technician skills. In addition to the three master’s programs, HMS offers, in cooperation with the Leuphana University in Lüneburg, the bachelor’s degree in “Digital Media,” a comprehensive higher education program—particularly in online marketing—as well as the advanced training program “Digital Media for Refugees.” The HMS is a Public-private-Partnership—established by the endowment with numerous renowned publishing companies, broadcasting stations, and media companies, the free and hanseatic city of Hamburg, the University of Hamburg as well as the University for Visual Arts. The most important aspects of HMS are the practical portions and the international education opportunities. A top-class team of instructors works to provide the student with excellent and comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental and practical aspects useful for the challenges in the everchanging global industry.
