Chris Maher has spent the last 30 years working in architecture, urban design, and development across the UK, Hong Kong, and Australia. Currently residing in Perth, Western Australia, Chris serves as the Director and National Portfolio Leader for Urban Development at Hames Sharley, where they focus on strategic leadership and innovative place-based design. Previously, Chris held roles including Design and Practice Director at Mirvac and Managing Director at Studio 53 Design Pty Ltd. A passionate advocate for creativity in urban development, Chris also contributes as a Design Advisor to various local and state government agencies and has served on several non-profit boards dedicated to cultural growth in Western Australia.
