Leesha Thrower

Dr. Leesha Thrower was appointed to the Board in 2022 by the Hamilton County Commissioners. She is the Chair of the Communication and Theater Arts Department at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Eastern Michigan University, and her doctorate from Bowling Green State University. Dr. Thrower has given lectures and presented at conferences around the topic of disability and the intersection of race and ability. She has 3 children, with her youngest having Down syndrome.
