Hamilton School, part of Maiden Erlegh Trust, is a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Reading, Berkshire, dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential. We provide a high-quality education that nurtures academic achievement, personal growth, and future aspirations. Our committed team of educators delivers a broad, engaging curriculum that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive in their next steps—whether in further education, training, or employment.

As a specialist school, we cater to students aged 11-18 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. We understand that every student is unique, and we take pride in offering a personalised learning experience that supports both academic success and emotional well-being. Our approach fosters resilience, independence, and self-belief, ensuring that students feel valued, understood, and empowered to succeed.

Since joining the Maiden Erlegh Trust in January 2020, Hamilton School has made remarkable progress. In May 2024, Ofsted recognised us as ‘Good,’ praising the dedication of our staff and the positive learning environment we have created. Inspectors noted that "pupils' learning and behaviour have increased significantly since the school opened," and that "pupils are expected to work hard, to behave well, and to do their best."
