Greg Knisely

Greg Knisely has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Greg is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Hammerhead, specializing in Maps and Navigation. Prior to this role, they spent four years at Mapbox as a Senior Software Engineer, where they served as a technical leader for processing commercial data sets and provided technical direction to various teams. Before Mapbox, they worked at Mapzen for four years as a Senior Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development of Valhalla, an open-source routing engine. Greg also gained experience at MapQuest, where they held multiple positions including Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and Software QA Engineer. Earlier in their career, Greg worked at DSG, Inc. as a Lead Software Engineer/Developer and at Fidelity Investments in various positions such as Principal Software Engineer/Developer, Senior System Engineer, and Systems Associate.

Greg Knisely obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, which they completed from 1993 to 1997. Greg further pursued their education and received a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Boston University between 1999 and 2001.
