Richard Sharp

Richard Sharp is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in treasury management and financial control. Currently serving as Group Treasurer at Hammerson since September 2007, Richard manages a £4bn debt portfolio and oversees foreign exchange and cash management. Previous roles at Hammerson include Deputy Group Treasurer, Financial Controller, and Assistant Treasurer, where responsibilities spanned secured financing, cash and debt management, as well as compliance with IAS39 and IFRS7 reporting. Prior to Hammerson, Richard worked as a Business Unit Controller at UBS Investment Bank and as an Assurance Professional at Grant Thornton. Richard holds a B Eng in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and has completed the Association of Corporate Treasurers qualification (AMCT).
