Hammerton
Chad Wing is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in product development and design, currently serving as a New Product Development Engineer and Product Design Engineer at Hammerton since December 2017. Expertise includes modeling and strength testing of luxury light fixtures using Solidworks, technical drawings, sheet metal and weldmet multi-body modeling, and design for manufacturability. Previously, Chad was a Maker Space Mentor at the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, where training sessions in 3D printing and other fabrication methods were led. Chad co-founded New World Presents, a production company that hosted large-scale art and technology events, and worked as a Part Technician at Qualified Rapid Products, focusing on metal 3D printing. Additionally, research was conducted as a Research Assistant in aerial robotics at the University of Utah, where quadcopter flight time optimization techniques were explored. Chad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.
