James Blight

James Blight is an accomplished geologist with extensive experience in mineral exploration and management. Currently serving as Chief Geologist at Hancock Prospecting since July 2025, James previously held roles such as Chief Geologist & Exploration Manager and Exploration Manager at Great Western Mining Corp PLC, where responsibilities included managing exploration activities, staff recruitment, and investor liaison. James's career also includes significant positions at KEFI MINERALS PLC, Bariq Mining Ltd./Barrick Gold Co., Cornwall Resources Limited, and Boliden, where James led exploration programs, conducted feasibility studies, and implemented health and safety initiatives. Academic credentials include a PhD in Geology and an M.Geol in Applied Geology, both from the University of Leicester.
