Roland Scott is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in cloud application development and system architecture. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Handshake since September 2021, Roland focuses on enhancing developer experience. Prior to this role, Roland spent over twelve years at Epic, progressing from Senior Software Developer for MyChart to Software Systems Architect, where contributions included significant work on Epic's cloud applications and distributed systems platforms. Roland's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Computer Science focused on Microarchitecture and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Philosophy, both from Michigan Technological University, as well as an Associate's degree from Northwestern Michigan College.
