Sungmin Park is currently a Machine Learning Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, working under Dr. Le Yuan and Prof. Huimin Zhao. They co-founded LaneTrax™, where as Chief Information Officer, they led the development of innovative machine learning models for sports analytics. Sungmin was selected as a Fellow in the iVenture Accelerator, securing funding and mentorship for their startup. Their past experience includes an internship at the Cooperative Institute for Satellite Earth System Studies, where they enhanced model accuracy for climate modeling. Sungmin will begin their role as a Software Engineer at Uber Freight in Spring 2026.
