William Coles

William Coles is a sophomore at Louisiana State University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, where they maintain a GPA of 4.18. Currently, they serve as an Engineering Intern with the City/Parish of Baton Rouge, creating and analyzing traffic flow models, and as a Research Assistant at the LSU Microcombustion Lab, collaborating on projects to advance combustion technology. Previously, they held an internship at H Rocker Electric Co, Inc. and worked as a lifeguard at Franco's Athletic Club. William is also an incoming Mechanical Operations Support Engineering Intern at Chevron for the summer of 2026 and has been selected for the Chevron Leadership Academy at LSU, demonstrating their leadership skills through a disaster-relief program project. Additionally, William is an AI Fellow at Handshake, where they focus on modern AI and large language models.
