Beth Hughes has over 20 years of professional experience in the field of learning and development. In 2018, they began working as a Principal Consultant for Strategic Learning Solutions, where they consult with clients to match business and performance needs with training solutions, with a focus on results. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President of Learning Services at Handshaw, Inc. from 2005 to 2018, where they designed and developed curriculum-level blended learning programs. From 2001 to 2005, they were a Senior Instructional Designer at Amdocs (Prev. DST Innovis), where they conducted needs analysis to identify influencing factors and inputs to instructional design decisions. Beth also worked as an Assistant Store Controller at Harris Teeter from 1995 to 2001, where they managed total store accounting, auditing, and analysis of all financial reports, data, and maintenance of the accounting and record keeping functions for store operations.

Beth Hughes obtained a Master's of Education in Instructional Systems Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte between 2001 and 2003. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A. in English and Technical Writing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte between 1997 and 2000. In 2012, they obtained a CPT certification from ISPI.
