Studio Design Director

Simon Beigi-Cooper is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in the video game industry, currently serving as Studio Design Director and Technical Design Director at Hangar 13 since October 2020. Simon led a major transition to Unreal Engine, establishing new workflows and technical foundations for the design team, and directed technical design initiatives for Mafia: The Old Country. Prior to this, Simon held the position of Senior Technical Director, Level Design at Ubisoft Reflections, where responsibilities included evolving the Technical Design team and collaborating with project directors and engineering leads. Simon has a robust background in technical lead roles on notable projects such as The Division and Watch_Dogs, alongside experience in mission scripting and level design. Simon holds an MSc in Intelligent Systems and a BSc in Computing from the University of Sunderland.
